1st Shift Quality Inspector

Our 120,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, is equipped to support every stage of the product lifecycle.
The
1st Shift Quality Inspector is responsible for performing routine inspections of materials and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This role communicates inspection findings to Quality and Production leadership, identifies nonconforming products, and supports investigations into quality and process issues. The Quality Inspector also contributes to corrective and preventive actions aimed at improving product quality and manufacturing performance.
This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate data entry, thorough recordkeeping, and strict adherence to quality procedures within a regulated manufacturing environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITESPerform product inspection using a variety of precision measurement tools and equipmentProperly set up parts, run established measurement programs, and interpret results (pass/fail)Inspection equipment includes, but is not limited to:- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Vision systems (Keyence, Micro-Vu)
- Optical comparators (standard and eCAD)
- Micrometers, calipers, and drop indicators
- Pull-force and hardness testers

Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED requiredAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructionsBasic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience with standard dimensional inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, comparators, etc.)Ability to operate advanced inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems)Working knowledge of:- ISO 13485 standards
