next-generation database platforms. The engineer will play a critical role in the strategic expansion and operational excellence of
MongoDB, EDB PostgreSQL, and YugabyteDB platforms that power core enterprise applications.
The role focuses on database design, automation, high availability, security, and operational scalability. The engineer will partner with technology operations teams to modernize database platforms, reduce manual intervention, improve MTTR, and ensure SLA adherence while influencing the long-term direction of database technologies across the enterprise.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Design, build, and manage highly complex MongoDB, EDB PostgreSQL, and YugabyteDB databases.
- Lead data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts.
- Perform planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server-class databases.
- Design and implement database security solutions, including CIS benchmarks and auditing standards.
- Develop and certify next-generation database technologies for enterprise adoption.
- Provide technical leadership and advise management on strategic database initiatives.
- Automate repeatable build and operational processes to scale with technology growth.
- Design and maintain high availability and replication solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Drive adoption of standardized operational practices to deliver resilient, always-on platforms.
- Participate in on-call DBA rotations supporting enterprise production systems.
- Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions aligned with DMO and enterprise goals.
- Contribute to operations automation initiatives that reduce human error, improve consistency, and accelerate delivery.
