Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer IV for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting applications within a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and leverage strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and data analysis to deliver solutions in an Agile setting. This position also offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies like Python and Spark in the Anti-Money Laundering domain.
Responsibilities: - Analyze, design, develop, enhance and support applications that integrate with existing business components
- Develop and support existing and new project requirements, including coordinating with business to understand requirements
- Perform tasks to comprehensively analyze application and process issues
- Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly
- Learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks
- Guide multiple technology onsite/offshore team members
- Gather and interpret data requirements, research and analysis, business design, and data mapping
Requirements: - Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong experience in complex SQL query and PL/SQL programming
- Strong software design, build, test and documentation skills
- Proven track record in project delivery in an Agile environment
- Good in software development using SAS, Teradata and Unix scripting
- Excellent organization and team skills
- Able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business and leadership
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Candidate with strong business analyst experience will also be considered
Desired skills: - Experience in Python, Spark and Hadoop
- Good knowledge of the banking products, operational process and end-to-end transaction flow
- Knowledge in the Anti-Money Laundering domain
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
