Role Overview
This position develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects. Employees in this role provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, and market pricing during the estimating process. The role involves preparing capital cost estimates and reviewing designs for cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of capital cost estimates.
- Review designs and specifications for cost-effectiveness and suggest alternatives when appropriate.
- Assist in market pricing research.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure understanding of project objectives.
- Remain current with technology and industry evolution to anticipate market conditions.
- Establish, build, and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks.
- Gain familiarity with project estimating methodologies, construction cost metrics, and estimating software.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: 0 to 5 years of experience in assisting with the development, quantification, and costing of capital expenditure (CapEx) models under supervision.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Six Sigma Certification (Yellow Belt or higher) for process optimization is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $44.00 per hour.
