Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a
Product Manager for a
contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA. This is a hybrid role.
Adobe Brand Intelligence (ABI) uses an AI-powered intelligence layer to learn a company's brand and content standards, then assemble and validate marketing content against them. We are extending ABI beyond visual brand compliance to textual and content compliance with externally codified regulations, specifically pharmaceutical and medical marketing.
We need a Product Manager who knows MLR (Medical, Legal, and Regulatory) review and governance from the inside, to build and manage an AI-assisted compliance validation solution for pharma and life sciences. The goal is for marketing content to reach MLR review already compliant by design, with fewer review cycles. You will own the product from requirements through pilot to launch, working with the ABI engineering team and top global pharma customers.
Responsibilities: - Own the product vision and roadmap. Define the pharma MLR validation solution, prioritize use cases, and set the path from pilot to general availability.
- Define requirements with MLR customers. Run discovery with reviewers, brand, medical, legal and regulatory teams. Capture personas, jobs to be done, user journeys, pain points, and current tools and workflows.
- Turn regulations into machine-readable knowledge. Work with MLR experts and engineers to understand how to codify regulatory requirements and cover claims and references, fair balance, ISI/SSI, label consistency, disclaimers, disclosures, and channel rules.
- Decide where AI helps and where it must not. Map the review process, including Veeva PromoMats workflows, and define human-in-the-loop experiences with audit trails and defensibility.
- Manage delivery. Write requirements and user stories, prioritize the backlog, and work daily with engineering, design and data science.
- Shape go-to-market. Understand buyers, influencers and users, budget ownership and buying cycles, and competitive alternatives. Define Adobe's differentiation and right to win, and support pricing and positioning.
- Extend the playbook. Build a reusable life-sciences approach, and identify how it could extend to other regulated industries such as financial services and regulated consumer goods.
Required Skills: - Product management experience building and shipping enterprise SaaS software, ideally AI/ML, content or workflow products, including writing requirements and working with engineering in an agile environment.
- Customer discovery and market analysis: based on interaction with customer practitioners and senior leaders, ability to define personas, buyer/influencer/user mapping, competitive analysis, and clear communication to senior leadership.
- Hands-on MLR/PRC experience in pharma, medical devices, biotech industries - such as ad-promo/regulatory reviewer, medical reviewer, MLR operations lead, or a product owner for MLR or promotional-review tooling.
- Familiarity with HCP and DTC materials across channels: email, web, social, banners, IVAs
- Credibility with senior MLR, legal and regulatory stakeholders: ability to explain AI-assisted human-in-the-loop compliance validation across customer organizations.
- Masters in relevant field.
- 7-15 years of experience is preferred.
- Working arrangements
- NDA required with customers. Customer data stays in customer-approved environments.
- No current work for the end customer or for a competing AI vendor. Candidates must disclose prior employers for a conflict check.
Preferred Skills: - AI or automation in MLR (e.g., Veeva AI, vendor tools), including precision and recall
- Modular content or claims-library strategy
- Ex-US codes (EFPIA, ABPI) and EU market experience
- Market sizing from secondary research
