Job Title: Risk Lead
Location: Birmingham, Alabama (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to drive risk program execution and consultation support within a large, complex organization. Our team is focused on providing integral risk management leadership across Human Resources, working closely with critical governance, audit, and compliance partners to maintain organizational integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Support risk program execution and provide consultation to Human Resources Centers of Excellence and partners, ensuring issue identification, remediation planning, and the consistent application of methodologies.
- Contribute to the HR Risk Committee by drafting, framing, and tracking risk discussions, preparing committee materials, and ensuring timely completion of follow-ups and action items.
- Assist in interpreting and applying evolving enterprise risk frameworks, including quarterly reporting requirements and enhanced governance expectations.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders such as Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Audit to support continuity, defensibility, and alignment of risk-related activities.
Required:
- 8 or more years of experience in risk management, including demonstrated hands-on expertise with issue management, internal audit issues, or operational risk within a large, complex organization.
- Advanced skills with Excel, Microsoft Suite, Power BI, and GRC tools.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and issue remediation planning, with experience supporting risk committees or governance forums.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
