Job Summary:
IT (Security) Project Coordinator is responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives within a company. They ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. A Technical Project Coordinator is the lead subject matter expert within the company regarding technology concerns. They use their industry expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management.
IT (Security) Project Coordinator will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. Candidates must have good understanding of running an enterprise IT infrastructure environment
Job Requirements:
Oversee project tasks and assist with ad-hoc projects: Coordination, tracking, and scheduling
Generate project documentation (e.g. scope, objectives, requirements, schedule, and status)
Generate reports and charts to keep leadership and stakeholders appraised of progress
Lead change management
Draft communications
For assigned Infrastructure projects, define and document project scope, requirements, deliverables, stakeholders and prepare high level project plans
Schedule and conduct project meetings throughout project duration Short term tactical project planning as well as longer term strategic planning
Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes
Prepare and distribute to stakeholder s project status reports (including Executive sponsor) on a periodic basis appropriate to project phase and need
Work with Infrastructure management and finance to develop and maintain project budget details and procure Infrastructure assets
Manage project(s) and project resources throughout the entire IT (Security) Implementation Project
Follows proper Change Management Processes:
Responsible for the following: development of project milestones, project schedules, tracking project costs, tracking the design, development, and testing progress of the project, documenting and tracking issues and risks, communication of project status to management.
Responsible for working with vendor, contract, or internal IT (Security) delivery resources to define project scope, technical requirements and determine high level estimates
Defines resources and schedule for project implementation
Oversee (or perform) the Business Analyst role of gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team to ensure business goals are achieved
Engage business stakeholders to identify and incorporate business owned project tasks and dependencies
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Provides regular and timely Project status updates to project team and management as needed to ensure Projects are meeting agreed upon timeline
Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
Ensures projects are on schedule and deadlines are meant
Manages project budget and forecast
Directs and oversees project team and manages conflicts within group.
Efficiently identifies, escalates and solves project issues
Demonstrates leadership
Provide technical leadership and Support PTA (Project Turn over to Delivery) process by reviewing and commenting from a technical perspective on project SOW (Statement of Work), BOM (Bill Of Material), Solution Architecture and expected timeline
Provide technical leadership and Support PMP and project schedule development by PM
Qualifications for IT (Security) Project Coordinator:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Project Management or related technical field required
Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition preferred
Experience working with access control systems and CCTV systems
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
Ability to travel up to ~ 50%
