Cyber Security Engineer
Apex Systems is hiring for multiple Cyber Security Engineers with a large Dept. of Defense client on-site in King of Prussia, PA!
Position requires a currently active Top Secret Security Clearance.

Contract Duration: 12 months with option to extend (slated to go through 2030)
Overview:
Responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify Cyber solutions across the lifecycle.
Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions.
Coordinates and addresses Supply Chain risk management concerns.
Develop, evaluate and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the Cyber domain.
Coordinate with Cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of solutions.
Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements.
Employs cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application.
Implements appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers.
Requirements:
Active, DoD-issued Top Secret Security Clearance
Minimum 2+ years of relevant cyber experience
Bachelor's degree in IT-related field
DoD 8140 (formally DoD 8570 IAT II) compliant certification or higher
Experience implementing NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53 controls
Experience with Security Technical implementation Guide (STIG) and security requirement implementation
Experience working with SIEM technologies (e.g. Splunk, Kibana) and vulnerability/compliance scanning tools (e.g. ACAS, SCAP)
Experience coordinating with Security Controls Assessor (SCAs) and customer security authorities
