We are seeking a
Java Application Development Engineer - Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
- Participate in technical requirements gathering and solution design discussions
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale systems
- Support incident triage, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution during onshore hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Credit Card Processing Systems organization
- Ensure application security, performance, and scalability standards are met
Required Technical Skills
- Core Java - Strong knowledge of OOP principles, collections, exception handling, and multithreading
- Spring Boot - Experience building RESTful services using auto-configuration and dependency injection
- Java Microservices - Hands-on experience designing and maintaining microservice architectures
- Spring Data JPA & Hibernate - ORM mapping, repository patterns, and query optimization
- Spring Security - Implementing authentication and authorization (JWT and/or OAuth2)
- API Development - RESTful API design and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI
- Databases - Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Redis)
- Testing - Unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test
- DevOps/CI-CD - Maven or Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
Nice to Have
- Basic frontend integration experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React
- Monitoring and performance tuning experience using tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or application profiling tools
