Job Description
We are seeking a Test Associate 5 to join our dynamic team supporting a hybrid storage synchronization service. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software quality assurance, Azure, and Windows Server and a proven ability to plan, execute, and document tests that improve product quality and customer scenarios.
Top 3 skills:
1. Testing Background: Minimum 10 years.
2. Server and Azure Technologies: Minimum 10 years.
3. Scripting Experience: Minimum 10 years (any scripting language, not limited to PowerShell).
Responsibilities:
- Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures for product features and deployments.
- Validate system modifications and readiness for implementation across environments.
- Develop tests that address database impacts, software scenarios, and usability.
- Document software defects in a bug tracking system and report findings to engineering.
- Identify, analyze, and document issues with function, output, UI, or content.
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track outcomes to closure.
- Create and maintain databases or repositories of known test defects.
- Plan test schedules and strategies aligned to scope and delivery dates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in software testing, test planning, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Experience with Azure services and Windows Server administration or environments.
- Experience writing test documentation including test plans, scripts, and results reports.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and recommend improvements.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
- Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid storage or file synchronization solutions.
- Prior work in Agile or Scrum environments and use of modern test management tools.
Role Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. No video interviews per policy.
- Assessment: Three Teams interviews, approximately 30 minutes each.
- Equipment: Supplier will provide a standard laptop.
- Disqualifier: Frequent job changes in 3-6 month intervals.
