Short Description:

 

The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of communication and training plans for the Child Support Bureau and local Title IV-D staff across Indiana.

 

Complete Description:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

Create and edit training guides from content provided by subject matter experts.

Write, edit, and disseminate communications to end users and stakeholders.

Assist in developing training and training material for systems of record.

Facilitate webinars by monitoring chat, sharing document links, and troubleshooting access issues.

Assist adult learners in physical classroom trainings.

Assist with equipment set up and testing activities for classroom trainings.

Assist with administrative tasks associated with training registration.

Monitor group mailboxes and respond to stakeholder questions.

Work with subject matter experts and engage in independent research to develop subject matter knowledge relevant to assigned projects and curricula

 

Requirements:

 

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent grammar and writing skills, including the ability to convey written, technical information in a clear, concise manner.

Professional demeanor

Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft365 suite and Jira.

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.

Ability to learn new information quickly and independently.

Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing requirements, and work under pressure.

 

Required / Desired skills:

 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook 365, SharePoint, PPT, Word, Excel and Teams);

Excellent grammar and writing skills, including the ability to convey written, technical information in a clear, concise manner

Experience creating and edit training guides from content provided by subject matter experts

Experience facilitating webinars by monitoring chat, sharing document links, and troubleshooting access issues

Experience of Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Service Management tools

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Ability to identify and resolve problems using research techniques

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Teaching or training experience

Video editing using Adobe products

WCAG/ADA compliance

Web design/publishing

Document/web formatting
