Construction Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager Development to lead complex new construction, facility remodel, major maintenance, dealer conversion, and catastrophic damage projects from project inception through construction start.
This role will work closely with internal design, operations, construction, and executive teams, while coordinating with external consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale facility development and remodel projects through pre-construction phases
- Manage entitlements, permitting, zoning, and agency approvals
- Coordinate civil, geotechnical, and environmental investigations
- Collaborate with design teams on site layout, civil, fuel, and architectural packages
- Review project design details with consultants and stakeholders
- Establish and monitor project budgets and timelines
- Support contractor bid processes and vendor coordination
- Coordinate equipment purchases, PO requests, and delivery schedules
- Manage utility connections and provider coordination for new sites
- Present development plans to government agencies and local residents when required
- Support property negotiations, easements, and right-of-way matters
- Ensure compliance with all project, regulatory, and company standards
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a construction-related field
- 5+ years of experience in development and project management
- Strong background in large-format retail, construction, or facility development projects
- Proven experience managing multiple high-value projects simultaneously

- Strong project prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with government agencies, zoning boards, and permitting offices
- Budget ownership and cost management expertise
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
