Summary

Location: Atlanta, GA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite for onboarding and on-demand thereafter; preference for local Atlanta Metro/Georgia residents).
Employment Type: Contract (Subject to annual fiscal year renewals).

Core Responsibilities

Semantic Modeling: Design and optimize Power BI semantic models using star and snowflake schemas, dataflows, and shared datasets to support enterprise self-service analytics.
Advanced DAX & Logic: Develop complex DAX measures and calculation groups; implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) to protect sensitive data.
Visualization: Build visually compelling, interactive dashboards using bookmarks, drill-throughs, and custom visuals while adhering to accessibility standards.
SQL Development: Write high-performance SQL queries, views, and stored procedures across Oracle and SQL Server environments for data profiling and transformation.
Administration: Manage Power BI Service components, including workspaces, data gateways, capacity utilization, and dataset certification.
Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to document data models, naming conventions, and version control processes.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development and 5+ years of general IT development.
Data Modeling: Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling, Power Query (M language), and composite models.
Database Expertise: 5+ years of solid SQL development experience in both Oracle and SQL Server.
Legacy Integration: (Required) 5+ years of experience with OBIEE Semantic models (RPD) and interactive reporting.
Administration: Proven experience managing Power BI gateways, workspace governance, and capacity management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
