Role Summary
A senior-level Technical Project Manager responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, large-scale projects within a professional services or managed services environment. This role involves managing multiple work streams, ensuring project scope, timeline, and budget adherence, and fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external clients. The position requires strategic leadership, financial acumen, and advanced project management expertise to drive successful project outcomes in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large-scale projects with multiple work streams, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with interdependencies and clearly defined critical paths to facilitate project planning and execution.
  • Monitor project progress, report to stakeholders, and adjust plans proactively to ensure timely delivery and scope management.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project success.
  • Create and maintain resource plans, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of personnel and technical resources across projects.
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques, including risk management, quality assurance, and process improvement, to enhance project efficiency.
  • Manage project financials, including profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization metrics, to stay within budget and meet financial targets.
  • Implement engagement review procedures and quality assurance standards according to organizational methodology.
  • Lead change management efforts and identify potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare comprehensive business reports, including project financials and performance metrics, to facilitate informed decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, leading external customer-facing projects in a professional or managed services environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects supporting global financial or technology customers, with experience in networking, storage, virtualization, cloud, security, or collaboration solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with multisite deployment projects, such as wireless, Wi-Fi, or point-of-sale systems.
  • PMP and/or CAPM certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including analysis and creation of financial reports, preferably with experience using Clarity.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and change management abilities, with experience in risk management and stakeholder analysis.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States with the ability to support hybrid work arrangements.

Publishing Pay Range: $78.32 - $83.51 hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
