Senior Business Analyst
Onsite | Austin, TX | Contract
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our client's growing team in Austin, Texas. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in analyzing complex systems and collaborating with diverse teams to deliver impactful solutions. The role involves significant responsibilities in shaping business strategies through technology and ensuring seamless communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate business systems to identify areas for improvement and align solutions with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with IT teams to bridge gaps between business requirements and technical implementations.
Conduct detailed data analysis to extract insights that drive informed decision-making.
Gather, document, and refine business requirements to support project goals and initiatives.
Oversee the development and delivery of application functionality for Medicaid systems.
Prepare solution options and conduct financial analyses, including cost-benefit assessments.
Facilitate business process reengineering to improve efficiency and implement new technologies.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure consistent understanding across teams.
Support integrated project efforts and provide oversight for dependent initiatives.
Participate in Agile Scrum practices to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Requirements
Requirements:
At least 8 years of detail-oriented experience in business analysis, with a proven ability to plan and achieve objectives.
A minimum of 5 years serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Strong skills in data analysis, with the ability to interpret raw data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Familiarity with industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering.
Experience in creating detailed documentation of user needs and system functionalities.
Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and proficiency in gap analysis.
Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
