Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee critical projects within the energy sector, leveraging your expertise in Agile methodologies and project management practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and technical proficiency to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects using Agile Scrum methodologies to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to meet organizational goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and promote effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize Atlassian Jira to track project progress, manage tasks, and monitor team performance.
Facilitate regular team meetings, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups, to maintain project momentum.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for project management.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.
Conduct detailed reporting and documentation to communicate project status and milestones to stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring project alignment with strategic goals.
Requirements
Proven experience in Agile Scrum methodologies, with a strong understanding of its principles and practices.
PMP Certification or equivalent project management credentials.
Demonstrated expertise in IT project management, including software development or system integration.
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for task management and project tracking.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities to ensure project transparency and alignment.
Familiarity with energy or natural resources industry is a plus.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
