Hybrid 4/1 in Charlotte, NC

Our client seeks a Technology Solutions Architect to design scalable, secure, and enterprise-aligned solutions within Agile delivery teams. The role translates business requirements into implementable architectures, guides technical decision-making, mentors teams, and ensures alignment with enterprise standards and long-term goals. The architect partners with product owners, developers, and enterprise architecture to drive delivery outcomes, evaluate emerging technologies, and manage architectural risks and tradeoffs.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-level solution architectures, select technologies, and provide architectural oversight to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and quality execution.
  • Partner with product and delivery teams to assess feasibility, integrations, scalability, and architectural risks for new initiatives and enhancements.
  • Promote enterprise development standards, patterns, and guardrails, and recommend improvements to Enterprise Architecture.
  • Translate complex designs, tradeoffs, risks, and trends into clear communication for delivery teams, architects, and leadership.
  • Mentor and coach teams on technologies, systems, and business process integration, including responsible AI-enabled development practices.
  • Advise on build-versus-buy decisions, including evaluations of custom solutions, SaaS, and packaged technologies.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and platforms to drive modernization and continuous improvement.

Experience Requirements:
  • Leverages Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and reference patterns to guide solution design.
  • Strong foundation in software engineering, system design, integration patterns, and distributed architecture.
  • Hands-on experience delivering full-stack web solutions (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL, Git) in Azure or comparable cloud environments.
  • Experience with Agile delivery models and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to evaluate architectural tradeoffs and communicate risks and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience as a solution architect, technical lead, or senior developer within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled development practices and emerging AI technologies preferred.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, solution design, or technical leadership roles.
