iOS Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an iOS Developer in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:
* iOS Developer will design, build, and enhance features across multiple related iOS applications
* Contribute primarily to a core operational app, while supporting feature updates in companion applications
* Own front-end iOS development from concept through release
* Collaborate with backend engineers to define data requirements and validate API integrations
* Participate in technical discussions and brainstorming sessions with fellow iOS developers
* Debug and resolve performance issues and crashes using Xcode and Xcode Instruments
* Implement UI components using UIKit (existing features) and SwiftUI (new development)
* As an iOS Developer, you will manage code changes using GitHub and follow established version control best practices
* Communicate proactively regarding progress, risks, and blockers
* Maintain and improve features across interdependent applications within a shared ecosystem

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of professional iOS development experience
* Hands-on experience with Xcode Instruments for debugging and performance analysis
* Experience building UI with UIKit and SwiftUI
* Experience working closely with backend teams to define and consume APIs
* Solid understanding of Core Data and UserDefaults
* Familiarity with GitHub workflows and collaborative development practices
* Strong proficiency in Swift and Xcode
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small team

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
