Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Digital Events Product Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA or San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role.

Summary

The ideal candidate has a shown grasp of how front-end customer digital event experiences influence back-end data requirements and technology capabilities, and vice versa. The candidate has the ability and experience in connecting the dots across customer journey analytics, web personalization & optimization, content management, digital technology enablement, digital events solutions and data requirements to identify where to develop needed capabilities. These are components that need to come together to enable a scalable ecosystem that delivers relevant and engagement customer experiences for our digital events.

Day in the Life

You will work closely with a small team of product managers and partner with program managers, product designers, event managers, marketing managers, and web production to deliver web-based experiences that support the client's online events.
Responsibilities:
  • Discover, define, drive, and execute internal digital events product vision, strategy, requirements, and roadmap based on data, customer insights, and industry standard methodologies
  • Be the focal point partnering with internal customers to identify problems and define goals, set priorities and lead a backlog of features, work with engineering, design, and QE to meet those requirements
  • Build business cases clearly stating the impact and value of proposed initiatives
  • Work with Experience Designers on customer journeys, UX flows, and product designs
  • Transform requirements into feature specs / user stories including story acceptance criteria for the engineering team
  • Proactively identify, prioritize and drive resolution to project issues.
  • Prepare for business reviews, financial analysis & forecasting
  • Assess new digital event market opportunities and strategic areas of growth


Required Skills:
  • Hardworking, creative and innovative demeanor
  • Ability to transform business challenges into detailed product requirements, writing functional specs and user stories (using Jira or other Agile tools)
  • Experience with sophisticated problem spaces and an ability to handle open-ended design projects that may be ambiguous or ill-defined
  • Results driven with attention to detail and follow-through, and ability to work efficiently at all levels within the organization and with partners
  • Well-versed in defining roadmaps and delivering with teams that employ agile software development methodologies
  • Analytical abilities to test hypotheses and sort through uncertain options to make compelling recommendations
  • Ability to craft clear, compelling recommendations supported by strong analysis and business logic, and articulate them to the organization to gain support for recommendations
  • Ability to lead issue resolution and mitigate risk on the product roadmap
  • Experience working with other geographic locations and familiar with regional needs
  • Understanding of web design and optimization, digital marketing technologies, digital events technologies (Rainfocus, Intellum, On24, Kaltura, SplashThat), web content management systems (AEM), marketing data and analytics. Knowledge of Adobe's Experience Cloud offering is a plus.
  • Education: BA/BS degree in a technical field (CS, EE, or similar) or marketing field. MS or MBA a plus. 5+ years of product management experience and/or blend of web design and digital marketing technology
