We are seeking a Product Owner for Data Acquisition and Data Lake who possesses a strong passion for data and a deep understanding of how data moves across enterprise ecosystems. This role requires an individual who understands data architecture and is comfortable with its real-world complexities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with enterprise data flows, ingestion pipelines, APIs, and interconnected systems, with a clear perspective on data lineage and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of data acquisition and data lake capabilities.
- Understand and manage the end-to-end data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, analytics, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Proactively identify dependencies, risks, and optimization opportunities across data pipelines.
- Ensure strong governance, data quality, and lineage tracking across the ecosystem.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
Core Competencies
- Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, including data pipelines, APIs, and distributed data architecture.
- Ability to analyze and work directly with data using SQL and other analytical tools to validate and inform decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive data-driven, informed decision-making through an understanding of data analytics concepts.
- Clear ownership mindset with a reputation for reliability, proactive communication, and follow-through.
- Solid judgment, curiosity, and problem-solving ability in complex data environments.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills: Familiarity with data platforms such as Hadoop, Snowflake, or similar distributed data environments. Experience with Agile tools such as Jira.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the Commercial Banking domain, specifically within the data analytics space.
- Exposure to and understanding of credit data domains.
- Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Credit, Sales, Treasury, or Services & Fulfillment.
