**Position Overview**

The client is seeking an experienced IT Audit Support Contractor to support enterprise information security audit and compliance initiatives. This role will assist with preparing for, coordinating, responding to, and tracking internal and external IT audits while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to established security frameworks.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT audit processes, information security governance, risk management, and compliance documentation. This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and auditors to ensure audit readiness and timely remediation of findings.

**Key Responsibilities**

Support the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external Information Technology audits.
Prepare, organize, and coordinate audit responses and supporting evidence.
Develop, maintain, and track:
Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms)
Safeguard and Security Reports
Security assessment responses
Audit status reports
Monitor audit findings through remediation and final closure.
Coordinate with business units and technical teams to obtain required audit documentation.
Identify documentation gaps and assist in developing or updating security policies, standards, procedures, and governance documentation.
Review audit evidence for completeness, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor remediation activities and provide status updates to management.
Assist with implementing and documenting corrective actions.
Maintain centralized audit documentation repositories.
Support periodic compliance assessments, internal reviews, and risk assessments.
Prepare compliance reporting and audit-related documentation.

Required Qualifications

Education
Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Experience
Experience supporting IT audits and compliance initiatives.
Knowledge of information security governance and risk management.
Experience with control assessments and compliance documentation.
Experience coordinating audit evidence collection and remediation activities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional organizational abilities.
