Scrum Master (Identity & Access Management)

Contract Length: 1 year (ASAP start)
Location: Portsmouth, NH (2 days onsite weekly)

Role Overview

The Global Cybersecurity organization is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join the Delivery Enablement & Business Operations team. This role will support Project Ascend, a strategic initiative to modernize Identity & Access Management (IAM) processes, reduce enterprise risk, and elevate operational capabilities. The Scrum Master will lead 2-3 Agile teams, enabling delivery effectiveness, fostering agility, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maximize team engagement and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and People Leaders to maintain a healthy backlog and support both short- and long-term planning.
  • Shield teams from external interference, anticipate impediments, and manage interdependencies across squads.
  • Coach teams on Agile practices, growth mindset, and continuous improvement aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to directors, managers, product owners, and team members.
  • Use data and analytical insights to identify opportunities for improvement in team health and delivery.
  • Champion Liberty values and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience fostering Agile maturity within teams, ideally in cybersecurity or related domains.
  • Strong expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban; expert-level Jira experience required.
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile project management techniques.
  • Ability to adapt Agile practices to team needs while maintaining organizational alignment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related discipline; 8-10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Agile certifications preferred.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask across cross-functional teams.
