Summary

Job Title: Electrical Engineer System Integration
Location: Danbury, C
T
Overview:
Customer is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in electrical systems integration to support the integration of complex distributed energy systems for mission-critical and data center applications.
This engineer will focus on integrating low-voltage power systems, UPS technologies, medium-voltage equipment, balance-of-plant electrical systems, and power conversion technologies into complete operational solutions. You will coordinate electrical interfaces between internal engineering teams, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and field service organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical integration of distributed generation systems for mission-critical and data center applications
  • Integrate medium- and low-voltage electrical equipment into complete operating solutions
  • Design auxiliary power systems including 24VDC, 48VDC, 125VDC, and low-voltage control power
  • Select and integrate UPS systems
  • Coordinate interfaces among fuel cell systems, inverters, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and battery storage
  • Develop system wiring and interconnect documentation
  • Support factory testing and commissioning
  • Work with EPC contractors and equipment vendors
  • Troubleshoot electrical integration issues and support product validation and field upgrades
  • Coordinate electrical engineering activities across multiple disciplines
Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years (Mid), 5+ years (Senior), or 10+ years (Staff) of relevant experience
  • Electrical systems integration
  • Low-voltage power systems and medium-voltage systems
  • UPS systems and power distribution
  • Electrical interfaces and equipment integration
  • Commissioning and electrical troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and NFPA; experience with ETAP / SKM / PSCAD
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industrial-scale inverters
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Solar PV integration
  • Data-center power redundancy topologies (N+1, 2N, 2N+1) and Tier III/IV concurrent maintainability
  • Static transfer switches (STS) and fast bus-transfer schemes
  • Hybridized fuel cell + energy storage systems for dynamic load-following
  • Microgrid controllers / DERMS and interfaces to plant SCADA and data-center DCIM/BMS
  • Power quality / harmonic mitigation for non-linear IT loads (ITIC/CBEMA ride-through)
  • Islanding and grid-reconnection at the point of common coupling (PCC)
  • Fuel cell or distributed generation experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
