Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support product quality, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across complex engineering programs. This role will partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, investigate quality concerns, and drive corrective and preventive actions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supplier performance, product reliability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
  • Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive action.
  • Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
  • Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
  • Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Engage in the supplier selection process and certification programs.
  • Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends for actionable next steps.
  • Responsible for supplier evaluation, verification of special processes, supplier oversight - including development and execution of return-to-green plans.


Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience supporting AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) and/or APQP processes.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and supplier performance improvement.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis, corrective action, and nonconformance disposition activities.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.


Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting supplier selection, contract reviews, and risk assessment activities.
  • Knowledge of machining operations and manufacturing practices.
  • Experience using Tableau or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
  • ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CSQP, or CMQ/OE certification.
  • Experience with electronic assemblies, CCAs, cabling assemblies, box-build systems, or electromechanical products.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military, or high-reliability production programs.
