Summary

Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking a BUSINESS ANALYST (Planning Coordinator) to join our team in Atlanta providing On-demand operational, technical, and scientific subject matter expertise support that addresses response-related requirements enabling CDC to rapidly expand its capacity to respond to public health emergencies.

The Division of Emergency Operations (DEO), with support of the Office of Readiness and Response (ORR), is actively working to enhance and augment CDC's approach to preparedness and response for Public Health Emergencies which supports the development and implementation of the CDCReady Responder Program.

This is a 100% on-site, unless otherwise determined by the technical monitor and COR.

Duties & Responsibilities

Contractor shall assist in the execution of Incident Action Plans, Situation Reports, and Transition Activities and other Emergency Response day-to-day activities.

Provide support for response plans maintenance in Plans Development Processes including core courses of action, coming up with assumptions, facts, and criteria for evaluating courses of actions.

Update existing preparedness, and development of new plans as needed

Provide support for report writing and data collection.

Develop Incident Action Plans, Situation Reports, Transition Activities along with Plans Development and maintenance for emergency response.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Junior (BA/BS, with 4+ years' experience, or 7+ years work experience in Emergency Planning) in an Emergency Operations Center environment.

Knowledge of Comprehensive Preparedness Guide (CPG) 101 - Developing and Maintaining Emergency Operations Plans

Knowledge of CPG 201 - Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR).

Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Mail)

Ability to effectively communicate needs at all briefings to assist with operational strategy.

Ability to identify gaps in existing resources.

Ability to multitask in emergency situations.

Ability to be flexible with a strong sense of urgency.

Interpersonal communication: telephone, email, and business etiquette.

Strong proofreading skill and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills.
