Job Title: Software Engineer 4 - Full Stack Java Developer (MRNVA Application Support)Location: Charlotte, NC -Hybrid, 3 days onsite)Contract Length: 12 months (potential extension or conversion)Pay Rate: $69 - $74Top Requirements:5+ years Software Engineering experience, including full-stack Java development.Strong Java expertise (core Java + back-end application development).Full Stack development including front-end and back-end components.Experience working in regulated environments (financial services, risk, governance, or controls).Ability to support complex enterprise systems with multiple governance workflows.Plusses:Experience in model governance, risk management, or regulatory environments.Knowledge of Model Risk Management concepts or financial model workflows.Exposure to GenAI-related model governance challenges.Familiarity with documentation workflows (e.g., Model Definition Documentation).Job Summary:This contingent Software Engineer 4 role supports complex, enterprise-level Software Engineering initiatives within the Model Risk Management (MRM) organization. The engineer will provide full-stack Java development and application support for
MRNVA, the system of record for all financial models used across the bank. The role involves supporting end-to-end model lifecycle workflows, ensuring system reliability, addressing complex technical challenges, and contributing to governance, compliance, and transparency efforts in an evolving model risk landscape.
This is a mid- to senior-level engineering role requiring hands-on development, strong technical maturity, and the ability to operate in a highly regulated environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Perform full-stack Java development to support MRNVA platform enhancements, fixes, and modernization.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across multiple system components and workflows.
- Support the model lifecycle within MRNVA, including documentation, governance, and validation workflows.
- Collaborate with Model Risk, Validation, Controls, and Technology stakeholders.
- Maintain system stability, reliability, and performance for enterprise-wide users.
- Enhance transparency and governance controls to support evolving regulatory expectations.
- Support ongoing platform improvements tied to emerging risk and GenAI-driven modeling complexities.
- Review requirements, collaborate on large-scale planning efforts, and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure proper compliance with enterprise standards, controls, and policies.
