Role Summary: The Lead Data Architect will own the end-to-end technical design and implementation of the data layer powering Digitech's AI Agents. This role requires deep expertise in both modern Lakehouse architectures and Enterprise Knowledge Graphs, with a strong focus on deploying secure, high-performance systems within an IL4/IL5 GovCloud environment.
Key Responsibilities: The Lead Data Architect will design and oversee the 5-layer data architecture, from Systems of Record ingestion to the Agent API Gateway. They will lead the technical strategy for integrating disparate data sources (SAP 1LMX, Teamcenter, EVMS, Workday) into a unified Medallion Lakehouse. Furthermore, they will architect the Enterprise Knowledge Graph (EKG) infrastructure, ensuring sub-500ms latency for L1 agents and robust multi-hop reasoning for L2/L3 agents. Collaboration with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and InfoSec teams is essential to embed CUI/ITAR classification and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) at every layer.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years designing Lakehouse (Databricks/Delta Lake) and streaming (Kafka) solutions. Proven experience architecting and deploying graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) at enterprise scale is required. A deep understanding of DoD security requirements, including IL4/IL5 GovCloud, CUI handling, and ITAR compliance, is mandatory. Strong proficiency in designing secure API gateways (GraphQL, REST) and implementing policy-as-code (e.g., Open Policy Agent) is expected. Excellent executive communication skills are necessary, as the candidate must be capable of presenting complex architectural decisions to CIO/CTO leadership.
