Description: Our client is currently seeking a AppOps Engineer

Role: - AppOps Engineer
Location: Alpharetta GA, Omaha NE, Frisco TX, Berkeley Heights NJ, Hagerstown, MD, Greenwood Village, CO, Coral Springs, FL & Houston TX (On-site)


This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced AppOps Engineer with a strong blend of DevOps, SRE, and operational excellence to support and optimize mission-critical digital banking applications. This role focuses on ensuring application reliability, performing upgrades, developing automation, and improving alerting and monitoring capabilities.

    You will work in a dynamic Agile environment, supporting digital channels for Wire Transfers and ACH, with a workload mix of 70% Operations and 30% Project-driven initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Operational Excellence
    • Monitor dashboards and email-based alerts, ensuring timely escalation and incident resolution.
    • Ensure 24/7 application uptime and performance through proactive monitoring and issue triage.
    • Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems support.
    • Review and analyze SQL logs for troubleshooting and performance insights.

    Platform & Application Management
    • Perform application upgrades and OS-level upgrades on Windows-based platforms.
    • Maintain and enhance system stability, leveraging tools such as Splunk and Moogsoft for alerting and observability.
    • Build and maintain operational dashboards to support real-time visibility.

    DevOps, SRE & Automation
    • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and enhance operational efficiencies.
    • Optimize alerting flows and reduce noise through intelligent tuning and configuration.
    • Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment.
    • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of support models for long-term operational scalability.

    Technical & Architectural Contribution
    • Work closely with engineering teams to understand application architecture and dependencies.
    • Participate in solution design discussions and ensure operational readiness for new and existing services.
    • Apply technical aptitude and engineering best practices to drive stability, scalability, and resilience.


    Required Qualifications (Must Have)
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Hands-on experience with CI automation tools and workflows.
    • Proficiency in SQL for log review and issue investigation.
    • Experience with Splunk alerting and dashboard creation.
    • Experience working on Windows platforms in enterprise environments.


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field.
    • Experience in the banking or fintech sector, especially supporting digital channels like Wire Transfer and ACH.
    • Familiarity with SRE principles and modern DevOps practices.
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as Moogsoft, Splunk, or similar.
    • Automation experience with scripting or orchestration tools.
    • Knowledge of architectural design principles and system integration.
