Junior Program Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Program Developer in San Jose, CA.

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Full Stack Developer/Security Solution Engineer to support the development, testing, and maintenance of security-focused applications and automation platforms. This is a great opportunity for an early-career developer to gain hands-on experience across frontend and backend development, cloud technologies, automation, and security engineering while working alongside experienced technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and test user-facing features using React JS
* Support backend services and APIs using Python/Django and/or Golang
* Assist with data workflows and foundational machine learning integrations
* Support MySQL databases and basic SQL queries
* Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS-based environments
* Assist with CI/CD pipelines and automated builds and deployments
* Participate in testing, debugging, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Apply secure coding practices and contribute to security-focused applications

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, related field, or equivalent practical/internship experience
* Foundational experience with React JS or JavaScript/HTML/CSS
* Exposure to Python/Django and/or Golang
* Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
* Basic understanding of Docker and containerization
* Interest in AWS, Kubernetes, cybersecurity, and automation
* Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous-learning mindset

Preferred Skills:
* Internship, academic, personal project, or open-source development experience
* Exposure to cloud, automation, enterprise security, or machine learning/data workflows
* Work Arrangement: US-based, fully remote

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
