Role Title: Senior Workday Business Process Analyst, ERP Usability and Optimization
Location: Hybrid / Onsite preferred in Oakland County, MI
Purpose
Translate user complaints into measurable process improvements by analyzing workflows, identifying friction points, and recommending practical solutions that simplify Workday usage.
Responsibilities
Extract and categorize tickets into themes and root causes
Map current state processes and identify inefficiencies
Conduct user interviews and job shadowing sessions
Quantify steps, cycle time, and handoffs
Distinguish between training, process, and system design issues
Facilitate workshops to define improved future state processes
Produce data driven recommendations and quick wins
Maintain issue heat maps, Pareto charts, and prioritization matrices
Support change adoption and documentation
Required Experience
5 to 10+ years business process analysis or ERP optimization experience
Experience with Workday ERP
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated experience running assessments or operational improvements
Skills
Process mapping and swim lanes
Lean or Six Sigma methods
Root cause analysis
Data analysis and reporting
Clear documentation and presentation skills
Preferred
ERP transformation or stabilization experience
Finance background
Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar
Success Measures
Clear root cause identification for majority of tickets
Reduced process steps and handoffs
Improved adoption metrics
Actionable prioritized backlog accepted by stakeholders
