Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Remote/WFH 

Duration: 3 months+ contract

Hands-on experience in Databricks, Kafka, and Cosmos DB, along with experience working on near-real-time data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Design test cases, test plans, and testing strategy based on approved requirements.
• Prepare test data to support testing activities.
• Execute test cases and document test results.
• Perform API and end-to-end integration testing to validate Kafka event consumption, processing through Azure Function Apps, and data loading into Cosmos DB, ensuring data quality, completeness, and reliable source-to-target data flow.
• Perform defect triage, including defect identification, logging, and Production deployment verification.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of QA/testing methodologies and processes.
• Experience in test data preparation, test execution, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with API and end-to-end integration testing.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Azure Function Apps, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks.
• Experience with data quality, completeness, and source-to-target validation.
• Experience in defect triage, retesting, and Production deployment verification.
