Overview
We're looking for a
senior FinOps Architect to lead cloud cost architecture across
AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. This role is
architecture-focused, partnering closely with engineering and platform teams to embed
cost-aware design and shift FinOps
left-not just report on spend.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve FinOps architecture for large-scale multi-cloud environments
- Drive cloud cost optimization (rightsizing, reservations/savings plans, scheduling)
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, and platform teams to influence cost-efficient architecture
- Analyze usage and billing data to identify and implement optimization opportunities
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting for technical and business stakeholders
- Define and automate tagging and cost allocation standards
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with finance teams
- Act as a trusted advisor on cost tradeoffs across IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes, and emerging workloads (AI/GenAI)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in cloud architecture, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform billing models
- Experience influencing architecture decisions, not just reporting
- Proficiency with Flexera One Cloud Cost Optimization
- Automation skills (Python, Terraform, PowerShell)
- Strong communication with engineering and finance stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or Engineer
- Kubernetes cost optimization experience
- Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience
- Familiarity with AI/ML architecture and pricing considerations
