OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
Business Analyst / Project Manager to support a managed services environment within a large municipal organization. This role supports a centralized PMO and works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive project execution, governance, and process improvement across technology initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of
business analysis, project coordination, stakeholder communication, and documentation discipline, and is comfortable working onsite in a structured public-sector environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis- Partner with functional teams and department stakeholders to define business requirements and assumptions
- Identify operational inefficiencies and help design process improvements
- Assist with project intake, requirement refinement, and solution proposals
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements, proposals, and presentations
- Support stakeholder meetings by preparing agendas, facilitating discussions, and documenting decisions
- Perform data analysis as needed using Excel and related tools
Project Management- Support project planning activities including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource coordination
- Maintain project schedules, risk logs, issue tracking, and documentation repositories
- Monitor project performance and identify risks, issues, or variances
- Prepare status reports and executive-level presentations
- Coordinate tasks across internal teams and external partners to meet milestones
- Support project governance and reporting standards within a PMO framework
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required (technology, engineering, computer science, or related field)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
- Experience documenting business requirements and supporting project delivery
- Working knowledge of Excel for data analysis
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- Exposure to enterprise technology environments (applications, infrastructure, networking) is a plus
