About the JobAs a Python, BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Developer, you will contribute to complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives that support data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will consult on broad technical challenges, design scalable cloud-based solutions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable and compliant systems. This position requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to work on multi-faceted, long-term engineering efforts.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Build, manage, and optimize data processing pipelines and workflows.
- Design, develop, and maintain DAG-based workflows using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or equivalent.
- Develop and optimize data models and complex queries in BigQuery, focusing on performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Analyze and address complex software engineering challenges that require evaluation of multiple technical and business factors.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
- Consult with client and partner teams on solution design, implementation strategies, and best practices.
- Ensure solutions align with organizational standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, or equivalent practical experience gained through work, consulting, education, training, or military service.
- Proficiency in Python for building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience using BigQuery, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
- Experience building and maintaining data processing or ETL pipelines.
- Experience designing and maintaining DAG-based workflows (e.g., Apache Airflow or similar tools).
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working on large-scale or long-term software engineering initiatives.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and data platforms.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and data teams.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-faceted technical problems and deliver sustainable solutions.
