We are seeking a software-focused Systems Engineer to support mission applications critical to national security. In this role, you will work hands-on with mission software, integrating, validating, and verifying software packages within an Agile environment. You will ensure software behaves correctly within complex systems and contributes to end-to-end mission success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or a related program area.
- Experience with software integration, software testing, or software verification and validation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with test planning, execution, and documenting results, with an understanding of interdependencies.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software and system interactions.
- An active TS/SCI security clearance with a Polygraph is required. Polygraphs must have been completed within 2-3 years preferably.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mission systems or aerospace systems, including an understanding of orbital dynamics.
- Familiarity with script development, automated testing, or test harnesses.
- Knowledge of systems engineering concepts like requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development.
- Familiarity with software package management and versioning.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, DOORS, Git, Jenkins, MATLAB, or Robot Framework.
- Background in Linux-based software testing or system-level debugging.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation
The pay range starts at $65.00/hr for this position on W2 paid weekly with optional benefits. Please note the exact compensation offer will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills.
