Senior Business Systems Analyst – SharePoint Solution Support (Hybrid)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Systems Analyst with expert level experience in SharePoint. for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role, you will focus on a combination of business systems analysis, solution development, end user support, and governance oversight, using various development tools with SharePoint. You will facilitate the analysis and definition of current-state processes, recommend and develop solutions, and support system reliability. The position will also support both large transformational initiatives as well as desk-level improvement initiatives. This position will support business users of SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Business Systems Analyst:
- Plan, organize and facilitate process improvement and business process documentation sessions in support of Engineering and Technical Services.
- Research, analyze, model, and organize information for developing requirements.
- Decompose high-level information into details and abstract up from low-level information to distinguish between solution ideas and business needs.
- Facilitate requirements, validation sessions, and present findings.
- Work with manager/federal personnel to facilitate resolution of requirement conflicts between stakeholders.
- Design, architect, build and recommend solutions based on requirements and best practices approved by management.
- Facilitate/assist in technical process improvement initiatives.
- Research and develop methods to automate repetitive manual data manipulations.
- Use Rapid System Development methods to build prototypes.
- Complete all documentation in support of the solution, including use cases, requirements, test plans, process maps, and desk procedures.
- Assist in the development of Business Cases/Justifications for the identified improvement opportunities and present the proposed solutions in both verbal and written formats to key stakeholders and sponsors.
- Prepare functional and technical documentation for continuity of support.
- Work closely with corporate IT development guidelines and governance to encourage a smooth build.
- Draft documentation for solution descriptions and technical specifications.
- Design, build, and implement management approved both no-code and custom solutions within SharePoint.
- Draft and build electronic forms to support business processes.
- Support development and implementation of management approved change management plans that reduce employee resistance and empower management as change sponsors.
- Facilitate various system verification activities such as systems and user testing.
- Draft and deliver process and systems training to impacted employees.
- Facilitate system and data integration efforts to connect disparate systems that have various levels of System Life Cycle (SLC) maturity.
- Provide first line technical support to business users of the developed solutions.
- Complete and improve technical solution documentation.
- Analyze solutions and business practices for efficiency and effectiveness. Based on the analyses, initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote adherence to governing policies.
- Help the project meet business, schedule, and budget objectives. Alert the manager of any noted concerns or potential issues.
Requirements for Senior Business Systems Analyst:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, or a directly related technical discipline is preferred.
- With an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required.
- With an applicable Associate’s degree, 10 years of experience is required.
- Without an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 12 years of experience is required.
- Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business and systems analysis and progressively more technical in nature.
- SharePoint development experience including expert level experience developing SharePoint composite/no-code solutions consisting of web parts, lists, and libraries using SharePoint Server 2019/2019 Subscription Edition.
- Power User to Expert level knowledge of SharePoint on premises architecture and site management best practices.
- Ability to develop and manage SharePoint content types and taxonomy to improve document management and search functionality.
- Experience with web front end development, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML, JSON
- Advanced knowledge of Visio and/or other flowchart tools.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of user interfaces and optimal user experience practices.
- Experienced with SharePoint integration with Microsoft Office Applications, including Power Query.
