Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant with expertise in SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, and financial data integration to support SAP and reporting integration initiatives. This role will focus on designing and implementing integrations between SAP S/4HANA Financial Asset Management environments and Snowflake, while supporting reporting enhancements and downstream analytical data consumption.

The successful candidate will work closely with SAP functional teams, data engineering teams, accounting stakeholders, and reporting teams across North America and EMEA. This position requires a hands-on delivery professional who can operate independently, support data integration activities, and ensure the integrity and consistency of financial and reporting data across platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of SAP financial systems expertise, investment accounting knowledge, enterprise data integration experience, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake to SAP S/4HANA Integration

• Design and implement data integration solutions between Snowflake and SAP S/4HANA using shared views.
• Define and maintain detailed source-to-target mappings at the table and field level.
• Ensure alignment between Snowflake data structures and SAP S/4HANA Financial Asset Management data models.
• Validate the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of integrated and ingested datasets.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to support integration and reporting requirements.
• Support integration and financial data mapping activities from requirements gathering through implementation, validation, and production support.

Data Mapping & Transformation

• Develop and maintain detailed mapping specifications, including:
• Field-level transformation logic
• Data type harmonization
• Reference and lookup mappings
• Identify and resolve schema mismatches between Snowflake and SAP environments.
• Support reusable and source-agnostic mapping frameworks where appropriate.
• Document mapping logic, transformation rules, and integration dependencies.

SAP Reporting Data Modernization

• Refactor existing SAP reporting views to support extraction and data sharing into Snowflake.
• Enhance reporting datasets for downstream analytics and reporting consumption.
• Ensure consistency between SAP-derived reporting outputs and Snowflake analytical models.
• Support reporting efficiency and data consistency improvements.

SAP Financial Asset Management Alignment

• Apply functional expertise in SAP Financial Asset Management (FAM) to ensure proper:
• Position representation
• Valuation alignment
• Accounting classification
• Validate that integrated datasets support accounting, reporting, and reconciliation use cases.
• Partner with accounting and reporting stakeholders to support business and reporting requirements.

Testing & Validation

• Execute data validation and reconciliation routines, including:
• Record count reconciliations
• Field-level accuracy checks
• Exception identification and resolution
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and issue remediation.
• Perform analysis and troubleshooting for integration and data quality issues.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of integrated financial datasets.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as a liaison across regional teams in North America and EMEA.
• Collaborate with:
• SAP functional teams
• Data engineering teams
• Business stakeholders across accounting and reporting
• Provide clear project documentation, mapping specifications, and status updates.
• Coordinate across technical and business teams to support project delivery.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• 10+ years of experience supporting SAP financial systems, SAP S/4HANA environments, data integration, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong experience with SAP Financial Asset Management (FAM) within investment management, asset servicing, custody, or financial services environments.
• Proven experience integrating SAP environments with cloud-based data platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Snowflake data architecture, SQL, and data modeling.
• Strong experience with table and field-level data mapping and transformation.
• Experience developing and supporting SAP HANA views, CDS views strongly preferred.

Functional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of investment accounting concepts, including:
• Positions and valuations
• Accounting measures and classifications
• Financial reporting structures
• Understanding of financial data flows across ABOR, IBOR, accounting, and reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with reconciliation and financial reporting processes.

Development & Integration Skills

• Experience developing data transformation logic and mapping frameworks.
• Ability to create and maintain structured mapping and technical specification documents.
• Strong SQL and analytical troubleshooting skills.

Work Model & Collaboration

• Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, mandatory alignment required.
• Geographic Coverage:
• Daily collaboration with stakeholders across North America and EMEA.
• Engagement Model:
• Contractor position with hands-on delivery responsibility.
• Expected to operate independently while coordinating across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Asset Management, Asset Servicing, Custody, Fund Administration, or Investment Accounting environments strongly preferred.
• Prior experience supporting financial reporting modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to enterprise data governance and reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with modern cloud-based data integration and reporting environments.
• Prior experience supporting SAP finance or reporting initiatives preferred.
