Onsite in either Willingboro, NJ or Downers Grove, IL

The ERP Manager will lead and oversee the strategy, support, and ongoing improvement of the organization's ERP ecosystem, including multiple instances of Epicor Prophet 21, one instance of NetSuite, and integrated platforms. This role manages a distributed team across nine countries and blends hands-on technical leadership with vendor and stakeholder collaboration. The manager will focus on modernization, standardization, scalability, and process optimization, guiding the transition from legacy on-premises systems to cloud-based solutions and modern integration architectures.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $75.00 to $90.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage ERP support teams, including analysts, administrators, developers, and vendor partners.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation, performance, and stability of multiple Prophet 21 environments, NetSuite, and connected applications.
  • Develop and execute a modernization roadmap to transition appropriate components to cloud-first platforms.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to assess requirements, prioritize enhancements, ensure data integrity, and align systems with strategy.
  • Manage and optimize integrations between ERP systems and third-party platforms, including EDI, CRM, WMS, eCommerce, business intelligence, and automation.
  • Establish and enforce ERP governance standards for documentation, configuration control, testing, release management, and user access.
  • Drive continuous improvement to support standardization across global units while accommodating regional needs.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and oversee contracts, licensing, renewals, and escalated support.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting to measure ERP performance, usage, support workload, and ROI of enhancements.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, performance management, and professional development for ERP team members.
  • Ensure ERP environments meet cybersecurity policies, compliance requirements, backup standards, and disaster recovery strategies.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience supporting and managing ERP systems.
  • Proven experience managing Epicor Prophet 21.
  • Background in hybrid IT environments with both cloud and on-prem solutions.
  • Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a distributed workforce.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or multi-location organizations.
  • Understanding of ERP integrations, APIs, middleware, SQL, and data governance.
  • Experience managing NetSuite or similar ERP platforms (preferred).
  • Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain-driven industries (preferred).
  • Experience leading ERP migrations or modernization projects such as cloud adoption, re-platforming, conversions, or consolidations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management methodologies (preferred).
  • Strategic planning and execution capabilities (preferred).
  • Communication and executive-level presentation skills (preferred).
  • Process-oriented mindset with focus on standardization and efficiency (preferred).
  • Vendor and project management experience (preferred).
  • Leadership in change management and digital transformation (preferred).

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • BS or equivalent degree or experience in a technology discipline such as Database Management, Computer Science, or Management of Information Systems.
  • ITIL certification (preferred).
