Summary

Role: FinOps Consultant
Position: Remote
Exp: 12+
Visa: USC-EAD/-EAD

Required:
5+ years of experience in cloud cost management, FinOps, cloud engineering, or cloud financial operations roles.
Demonstrable hands-on experience implementing and operating IBM Cloudability (formerly Apptio Cloudability) — configuration, connectors, dashboards, cost modelling, reporting.
Strong understanding of cloud billing models and pricing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud).
Practical experience with cost optimization techniques: rightsizing, committed-use planning, workload scheduling, storage lifecycle, and license management.
Experience collaborating with engineering, finance, and product teams to influence behavior and deliver cost outcomes.
Solid SQL skills and experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for custom reporting.
Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) and integrating cost tooling with CI/CD and ticketing systems.
Excellent communication skills — able to present technical and financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
