Role Overview

We are looking for an Automation Development Co-Op to support the development, testing, and maintenance of automation solutions. The role provides an opportunity to work with engineering and technical teams to improve processes, reduce manual effort, and increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and workflows.
Support automation of repetitive and manual processes.
Work with engineers and stakeholders to understand automation requirements.
Test, troubleshoot, and debug automation solutions.
Monitor automated processes and help resolve issues.
Document automation workflows, procedures, and technical changes.
Assist with integrating automation tools with existing systems and applications.
Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Support continuous improvement of automation solutions and development practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Basic programming knowledge in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or a similar language.
Understanding of basic software development and testing concepts.
Basic knowledge of Git/version control.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to scripting, APIs, databases, or web technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD or DevOps concepts.
Experience with automation frameworks or testing tools.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Previous academic or personal projects involving automation.
