Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for multidisciplinary application development teams. The Scrum Master will facilitate Scrum practices, support sprint execution, remove delivery impediments, and promote effective collaboration among development teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership. The ideal candidate is an experienced Agile practitioner who can coach teams, improve delivery processes, manage dependencies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and team ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate core Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
- Partner with Product Owners to support product backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint readiness.
- Facilitate sprint planning and coordinate successful sprint delivery.
- Help teams establish clear sprint goals, commitments, and delivery expectations.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments, risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers.
- Coach development teams in self-organization, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor sprint progress, team capacity, delivery metrics, and commitments.
- Identify delivery issues early and facilitate corrective actions with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Support multidisciplinary teams throughout application development, testing, deployment, and release activities.
- Facilitate resolution of conflicts within and across teams and functional areas.
- Promote effective communication between development teams, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Provide regular project/sprint status, risks, dependencies, and delivery updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and ways of working.
- Support Agile adoption and process improvements across projects and teams.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, Project Management, or a closely related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing sprint delivery.
- Experience working with Product Owners and product backlogs.
- Experience identifying and removing team impediments and managing delivery dependencies.
- Experience supporting software/application development teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile planning, estimation, prioritization, and iterative delivery.
- Experience with functional/business analysis and translating business needs into actionable requirements.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience communicating with executive and senior-level stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise IT and application delivery.
- Experience with Agile transformation, coaching, or organizational change.
- Experience leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with Agile delivery metrics, including velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, and sprint performance.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile delivery tools.
- Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master.
