Palo Alto Network Security Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Palo Alto Network Security Analyst in Tampa, FL.

Summary:
We are seeking a Palo Alto Network Security Analyst to support and enhance our enterprise network security posture. This role will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and monitoring of Palo Alto firewalls and related security technologies across a complex, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PAN-OS) across enterprise environments
* Manage and optimize security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations (IPSec/GlobalProtect)
* Monitor network traffic and security alerts using tools such as Panorama, SIEM platforms, and logging systems
* Perform threat analysis, incident response, and root cause investigations
* Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to implement secure network architectures
* Conduct firewall rule reviews, audits, and compliance checks in alignment with regulatory standards (NERC CIP, etc.)
* Support network segmentation and zero trust initiatives
* Assist with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of network security devices
* Document configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures
* Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and critical issue resolution

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-7+ years of experience in network security or firewall administration
* Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (required)

Strong knowledge of:
* TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols
* VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
* Security best practices and frameworks

* Experience with Panorama for centralized management
* Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.)
* Understanding of network segmentation and threat prevention technologies
* Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
