About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Solutions Architect with a strong developer foundation to design, architect, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions that drive revenue growth through advanced email marketing automation and sales enablement. Starting your career as a Salesforce developer, you have evolved into a strategic architect who bridges technical development with business outcomes. In this role, you''ll lead end-to-end Salesforce transformations, specializing in Marketing Cloud, Pardot, and Sales Cloud integrations to optimize email campaigns, customer journeys, and personalized sales experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that enhance lead nurturing, conversion rates, and customer retention while ensuring seamless scalability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Architect comprehensive Salesforce ecosystems, focusing on email marketing solutions like Marketing Cloud Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and AMPscript for dynamic content personalization and multi-channel campaigns.
Design and optimize integrations between Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud/Pardot, incorporating custom Apex development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow Builder for automated email triggers and sales workflows.
Lead technical discovery, solution design, and proof-of-concept (POC) development, translating business requirements into scalable architectures with emphasis on email deliverability, A/B testing, and ROI-driven campaign analytics.
Develop and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and REST/SOAP APIs, with a focus on email marketing extensions such as real-time data synchronization and audience segmentation.
Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and security assessments (e.g., OWASP compliance) for developer-led implementations, mentoring junior developers transitioning toward architectural roles.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define email marketing strategies, including Einstein personalization, dynamic lists, and integration with external tools like Google Analytics or third-party ESPs.
Drive Salesforce platform best practices, including CPQ, Data Cloud, and MuleSoft for enterprise-scale email and sales solutions, while ensuring 99.9% uptime and GDPR/CCPA compliance.
Prepare technical documentation, solution blueprints, and deployment roadmaps for global teams, presenting architectural decisions to C-suite executives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Career Progression: Comprehensive 15+ years of IT experience and 8+ years in Salesforce, beginning as a Developer (hands-on with Apex, triggers, batch jobs) and advancing to Solutions Architect (3+ years designing 5+ enterprise implementations).
Certifications: Salesforce Certified Solutions Architect (Platform/Specialty), Marketing Cloud Developer/Email Specialist, Platform Developer II; bonus: Marketing Cloud Architect or Pardot Specialist.
Technical Expertise:
Proven development experience in email marketing solutions: AMPscript/SQL for dynamic emails, SSJS for server-side scripting, and Journey Builder APIs.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce development (Apex, LWC/Aura, Flows, Einstein) and architecture (Governor Limits optimization, multi-org strategies).
Hands-on with integrations: Marketing Cloud Connect, Salesforce APIs, ETL tools for email data pipelines.
Email Marketing Focus: Demonstrated success in building high-volume email campaigns (10M+ sends/month), segmentation, deliverability optimization (SPF/DKIM), and analytics via Query Studio or Datorama.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication to articulate complex architectures to non-technical stakeholders; experience in Agile/Scrum environments with JIRA or Salesforce DevOps tools.
