Job Title:CMDB / Discovery Lead
Location: Washington, DC( On-Site)
Long Term Project
Designs, populates, and governs the Configuration Management Database as the single source of truth for all WMATA configuration items. Oversees ServiceNow Discovery and all automated CI data feeds.
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years ServiceNow CMDB administration; hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM integration, and CI reconciliation rules.
Certifications: ServiceNow CIS Discovery or CMDB Health required; ITIL v4 Foundation.
Clearance / Other: Must pass Client background check; ability to work on-site at 300 7th St SW, Alexandria, and Hyattsville as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop CMDB data model: CI classes, attributes, naming conventions, and relationship mapping
Configure and tune ServiceNow Discovery; integrate with SCCM, Maximo, DCIM, and Tenable
Implement CI Identification Rules to prevent duplicates and ensure reconciliation accuracy
Populate CMDB with existing asset data; validate and normalize for quality and completeness
Establish CMDB governance framework: roles, audit processes, and ongoing data quality metrics
