Job Description:

We are hiring Oracle HCM Cloud Developer!

Role: Oracle HCM Cloud Developer

Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: Open to remote candidates (U.S.A.)

Assignment Type: Contract Only

Duration: 12 Months (with strong extension potential)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud Developer to support enterprise-scale HR data integration and modernization initiatives. This contractor will play a critical, hands-on role in designing, building, and optimizing Oracle HCM data extracts and SQL-based data models that power analytics, reporting, and downstream cloud data platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical work within Oracle HCM, thrives in complex data environments, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality HR data. You will translate functional HR requirements into performant technical solutions while partnering closely with analytics and data engineering teams to enable reliable, scalable data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle HCM Cloud BI Publisher (BIP) reports to extract HR data for downstream ingestion into Azure Data Lake
  • Build and maintain SQL Server modeled tables to support cloud-based analytics and reporting
  • Translate business and analytical requirements into efficient SQL queries and BIP data templates
  • Support both full and incremental data loads, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and performance
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support end-to-end HR data pipelines from Oracle HCM to Azure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, report failures, and performance bottlenecks
  • Optimize existing BIP reports for scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data definitions, extraction logic, and dependencies, to support governance and audit needs
  • Adapt reports and extracts to align with Oracle HCM quarterly releases, schema changes, and new modules
  • Follow strict data security and handling standards for sensitive employee and HR data

Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, including backend data structures and base tables
  • Strong expertise developing Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) reports
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience in both Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience extracting and working with HR data across common domains such as worker, assignment, compensation, benefits, recruiting, and performance
  • Familiarity with data integration pipelines supporting data lakes, data warehouses, or BI platforms
  • Experience working in large, regulated enterprise environments with strong governance and security requirements
  • Ability to work independently as a contractor and deliver against clearly defined outcomes
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills when working with complex data logic
  • Clear, effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Adaptability in fast-moving environments with evolving requirements
  • Extremely high attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud data platforms
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM extraction tools beyond BIP (e.g., BICC, HCM Extracts, APIs)
  • Understanding of HR analytics, operational reporting, or regulatory data use cases
  • Experience documenting data lineage, source-to-target mappings, and technical designs
  • Prior involvement in data modernization, cloud migration, or legacy system transitions
