Role: Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Training Lead
Location: Helena, MT – Mostly remote with few onsite meeting expected
Duration: 12-18 months
Position Summary
The OCM & Training Lead will develop and execute the organizational change, communications, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption strategy supporting implementation of MBOH's new enterprise software solution(s). The role will focus on preparing affected employees and stakeholder groups for changes to processes, systems, roles, and ways of working while minimizing operational disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the comprehensive Organizational Change Management Plan.
- Conduct organizational change impact and readiness assessments across departments, business functions, roles, and user groups.
- Identify impacted stakeholder groups and assess the nature and magnitude of changes affecting each group.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement and change-readiness strategies.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive project Communications Plan in collaboration with Agency leadership.
- Develop targeted communications for leadership, business users, SMEs, and other stakeholder groups.
- Identify training needs based on future-state business processes, system functionality, and role impacts.
- Develop role-based training strategies, curricula, materials, job aids, user guides, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate training activities with MBOH and selected software vendor(s).
- Facilitate and/or deliver end-user training sessions.
- Track training completion, readiness, adoption, and change-management risks.
- Support go-live communications and end-user readiness.
- Monitor user adoption during stabilization and identify areas requiring additional support.
- Provide post-go-live training, reinforcement, and adoption support.
- Capture lessons learned and recommend ongoing adoption and process-improvement activities.
Deliverable: change-management plan covering stakeholder engagement, communications and adoption, organizational impact assessments, role-based training, end-user readiness, adoption monitoring, and post-go-live training support.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of OCM experience supporting technology or enterprise system implementations.
- Experience conducting organizational impact and readiness assessments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communications planning capabilities.
- Experience designing and delivering role-based end-user training.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation from legacy to modern platforms.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Public-sector change-management experience preferred.
- Prosci, CCMP, or similar change-management certification is a plus.
