Reliability Engineer | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability strategies for manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring issues.
• Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure points.
• Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset uptime.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve reliability issues.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance equipment reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on reliability engineering principles.
• Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Strong understanding of predictive maintenance (PdM) techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation for reliability improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., CMRP, CRE, PMP)
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI/ML for predictive maintenance)
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software
