Reliability Engineer | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies for manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring issues.
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions to identify potential failure points.
  • Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset uptime.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to implement reliability solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance equipment reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of reliability methodologies and tools (e.g., FMEA, RCA, RCM, Weibull analysis).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation to identify trends and predict failures.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and their application in maintenance and reliability programs.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, or ultrasonic testing.
  • CMRP/CRE certification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Minitab, JMP) for reliability modeling and trend analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise asset management (EAM) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
