Reliability Engineer | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment failures and provide root cause analysis.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Identify and execute reliability improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment design and installation.
  • Track and report on key reliability metrics and performance indicators.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar field).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on reliability engineering or maintenance.
  • Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis for reliability data and failure prediction.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing)
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and statistical process control (SPC)
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitation and tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software
