Reliability Engineer | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment failures and provide root cause analysis.
  • Optimize maintenance procedures and schedules to improve asset uptime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment reliability improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance and operational processes.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and potential equipment issues.
  • Conduct reliability assessments for new and existing equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focused on reliability engineering or maintenance.
  • Proven experience applying reliability tools and methodologies (e.g., FMECA, RCA, RCM, Weibull analysis).
  • Strong understanding of CMMS/EAM systems and their role in reliability improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve asset performance.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data-driven reliability improvements.
  • Familiarity with enterprise asset management (EAM) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
